The goal of carbon-neutrality is achieved by analysing, reducing and compensating carbon emissions. In order to determine the carbon footprint of an event, CO2OL has developed a special method that was validated by the DFGE (Energy, Ecology, and Economy Research Institute).
Our approach sees the first steps of a sophisticated climate protection strategy in saving and avoiding greenhouse gases in all business sectors and beyond a product lifecycle. Since not all emissions can be avoided entirely, CO2OL offers the possibility to neutralise the remaining emissions through ecological reforestations in the tropics.

The Green Mobility Platform
The Green Mobility Platform is the first integrated solution to facilitate ecofriendly arrivals at / departures from events. The visitors' trips to and from the event make up up to 90% of the event's CO2 emissions. Hence, optimizing this mobility increases the CO2 saving potential. With the help of the Green Mobility Platform, visitors and participants can inform themselves about car pools and public transportation and thereby help minimize CO2 emissions. Furthermore, the integrated CO2 calculator allows visitors to calculate their own CO2 footprint and directly compensate their CO2 emissions. Thus the mobility platform creates a surplus value which not only benefits the organizers and visitors, but also the environment and the climate.
